Positive: A really great apartment and super friendly hosts. The apartment is quiet and peaceful, about a kilometre outside Bouillon on a hillside with fabulous views. A patio with table and chairs is perfect for meals or stargazing at night. A couple more pillows would have been great, but the apartment is very comfortable.
Summary: Peaceful location and friendly hosts

Positive: The view from the terrace is beautiful. This is a great location to explore the area and do some hiking. The town has everything from an amazing medieval castle, good restaurants and great hiking trails nearby. The home is really great with one extra large bedroom and a medium size room. Really great for my family! There is even a wood stove and a washing machine (which we didn't use but great for a longer stay). The appliances all work well and everything was updated. Large dining table. Honestly the photos don't do the place justice.
Negative: We should have stayed longer! We did eat in for dinner both nights and while most of the dishes and pans are great, some knives would be helpful, there was only a couple of paring knives and a bread knife. That said they did have a salad spinner which was handy to have.
Summary: Excellent location, very nice home! Thanks to the hosts!

Positive: The location, the view, the size
Negative: When you first arrive you have to collect the keys from a different location and the owner only speaks French, also we didn’t realise they only take cash so we had to drive to a cash point in the pouring rain. The owner was quite difficult to deal with and not very helpful. On first impressions it looked ok but on closer inspection it was quite dirty with cobwebs and dust everywhere. The cooker and microwave were greasy and the hood had a smiley face drawn in the grime by a previous tenant (pic supplied) The fridge wasn’t clean and various implements showed signs of dried food. There was a pile of crumbs down the side of the microwave. The bin lid was broken, the kettle was very stained inside, with no light to show it was operating and the toaster was disgusting (pic supplied) All the equipment was very dated and nothing matched and it all looked like it came from a second hand store. If there were more than two people you would definitely need a dishwasher. In the bathroom you are supplied with two old threadbare towels the size of a large flannel. The bath mat was filthy on the underside and not much cleaner on the top. The shower waste was partially blocked which stopped the water running away. The bedding was really dated and they used double sheets on a king sized bed. The pillows were old and lumpy, so take your own, thankfully we did. There are no instructions for anything, tv, appliances, etc. The cupboards smelled musty and there were two pairs of old slippers in the one with old games in it. I wouldn’t think it gets much of a clean by the owners and the small amount that is done is probably by the guests. It could be a fantastic place to stay but the impression we got was that the owners were just there for the money and not the comfort of their guests. Everything inside the building was of the lowest quality and obviously kitted out as cheaply as possible. It could do with a deep clean then cleaned properly between sets of guests.
Summary: Quite disappointed really with the interior but the location is excellent.
